８月１４日 サンタモニカ横断だぞ

↑I got up around 6 o’clock, I slept on the floor.
６時頃起きました。床の上で寝ていました。
↑Although I had a lot of time before departure, I decided to go sightseeing
by two bus. This bus brings us the parking lot C, and then
出発までたくさん時間があったので、バスで観光に行くことにしました。このバスは空港のパーキングCまで連れてくれます。そして
↑I took another bus to get to Santa Monica.
サンタモニカに行くほかのバスに乗りました。
↑After 45 minutes, I arrived there. It cost only $1.
４５分で着きました。たった１ドルです。
↑First I walked around downtown a little, then
初めに街を少し歩きました。
↑I had lunch at a shopping mall. I ordered Japanese food. It might be my
rehabilitation to go back to Japan.
ショッピングモールで昼ご飯の日本食を食べました。帰国の為のリハビリだったのかも知れません。
↑Santa Monica seemed to be a small resort.
サンタモニカはちょっとしたリゾートのようです。
↑There is an amusement park for kids.
子どもの遊園地があります。
↑Some people were drawing picture, some people were playing musical
instruments on a pier
桟橋で、ある人は絵を描き、ある人は楽器を演奏し・・・
↑The beach is not so beautiful…
そんなにキレイな浜ではありません。
↑The route 66 ends here.
ルート６６はここで終わりです。
↑Following that, I walked Venice district.
その後、Venice地区を歩きました。
↑My guide book says, the local people prefer Venice to Santa Monica.
地球の歩き方には、地元の人はVeniceの方が好きだと書かれてあります。
↑At 2 o’clock, I came back to the airport. On facebook I found that one of
my American Peace Corps Volunteer friends, Marie, is leaving for Korea today
for her new work, then she was at the LAX. Unfortunately she had already passed
the security gate so I made a shor phone call. We are neighbor from now, so
perhaps we can meet soon.
２時に空港に戻ってきて、facebookによりピースコー友達の１人Marieさんが新しい仕事の為に韓国に今日経つと分かりました。今、空港にいるというのです。残念ながらセキュリティーゲートをくぐった後でしたが、電話できました。お隣さんになりますので、すぐに会えるでしょう。

↑Around 5 PM, my airplane departed LAX. My trip is almost over.
夕方５時頃にロサンゼルス空港を経ちました。旅もほぼ終わりですね～。
